Chapter I
“They say numbers don’t lie, but they also don’t speak unless someone gives them a voice.”
Remember that kid at the cricket matches? The one sitting cross-legged on the sidelines, lost in thoughts while others cheered? That was me. While everyone wondered why I wasn't joining the crowd, I was busy running mental calculations: required run rates, projected scores, winning probabilities. Classic introvert move, right?
Being the middle child, I perfected the art of observation early on. You know how it goes: the eldest makes the rules, the youngest breaks them, and the middle child? Well, we're too busy analyzing everyone's behavior patterns and calculating the statistical probability of getting a word in at dinner.
Known as "the quiet one," "the one always on mute," they missed what was really happening. I wasn't just silent, I was collecting data points, spotting patterns, and learning that analytics could tell stories louder than words ever could. As it turns out, being the family's designated observer had its perks.
Today, I carry that same observant nature from the cricket field, but with an upgrade:
